課程概述

This course is designed as the second control course, for both graduate and undergraduate students. In Automatic Control, we learned about the classical control methods, such as root-locus, Bode plot, and Nyquist criterion. In this course, we focus on the so-called modern-control (state-space) methods, such as controllability, Observability, State Feedback, Observer Design, and LQG control.

In addition, we will also talk about some advanced transfer function methods, such as pole-placement and two-DOF design. At the end, we will introduce the basic concepts of robust control.  

課程目標
This course covers three parts:

(1) State-space control design
a) state-space realization of systems, operation on systems, similarity transformation
b) solutions of LTI, LTV systems.
c) stability of systems.
d) Lyapunov stability theory.
e) controllability and observability.
f) eigenvalue assignment control, and LQ control.
g) observer design, and Kalmen filter.

(2) Transfer function control design
a) pole placement control by Bezout identity.
b) internal modeling principle.
c) closed loop design specifications in frequency domain.

(3) Robust Control
